The area of a triangle is half the base times the height. You can get the base and height directly from the picture of the first problem.

For the second triangle, you have the hypotenuse and one leg of a right triangle. Find the other leg using the Pythagorean theorem. Then the legs are the base and height. Just use the area formula.
