Helppp How would i solve this????

OpenStudy (mathstudent55):

You can try elimination. Multiply the entire first equation by 7. Multiply the entire second equation by 4. Then add the equations together.

x=3 y=-1?

OpenStudy (mathstudent55):

No

OpenStudy (anonymous):

then?

OpenStudy (mathstudent55):

Do the work I suggested.

OpenStudy (mathstudent55):

-4x - 7y = -5 Multiply by 7: -28x - 49y = -35 7x + 9y = 12: Multiply by 4: 28x + 36y = 48

Sorry, you're correct. I copied the problem incorrectly. x = 3, y = -1 is correct.
