can someone please show me how to get a factor? like (Factor 9x^3 + 18x^2 – x – 2)
factor in parts as follows; 9x^3+18x^2 = 9x^2(x+2) -x-2 = -(x+2) so you have 9x^2(x+2)-(x+2)
now you combine as follows: (9x^2-1)(x+2)
and you can factor more as follows: (3x-1)(3x+1)(x+2)
make it into 2 equations by seperating them like (9x^3 + 18x^2) - (x - 2) then it becomes 9x^2(x - 2)(x - 2) so (x - 2)(9x^2 - 1) does that help?
sorry (x + 2)(9x^2 - 1)

how did it go from 9x^3 to 9x^2? sorry i'm a bit confuse
because you can see that the common denominator of the equation (9x^3 + 18x^2) is 9x^2 so then it becomes 9x^2(x + 2)
sorry that took me awhile, but Thank you! i just needed some refreshing :D thanks again!
