Given a = 3, b = -1 and k = 2, what is the equation of the graph if the parent function is y equals the square root of x

OpenStudy (anonymous):

General form revision: y=a*sqrt(b*(x-h))+k

OpenStudy (anonymous):

just like before plug the values in place of the variables

OpenStudy (anonymous):

so it'd be y=3sqrt(-1(x-h))+2 @dfav

OpenStudy (anonymous):

right but you can distribute the -1 into (x-h) like so... y=3sqrt(-x+h)+2

Ahh right right! Thanks!

no worries mate!
