Help please? You and your friends can see the mountain on your next trip. A) A simple sentence B) A comound sentence C) A complex sentence D) A compound-complex sentence
I know this isn't math but I have no clue how to change the topic or if there is even a topic for math, sorry
fOR ANYTHING OTHER THAN MATH*
Okay, so what you do first is take out any and all propositional phrases, just to make it simpler. With that, the sentence would be: You and your friends can see the mountain. Next, find the subject(s) and the verb(s). Subjects: You, friends Verb: [can] see Now you just have to determine which type of sentence it is. Simple: One main clause (also called independent clause) Compound: Two main clauses Complex: One main clause and at least one subordinate clause (also called dependent clause). Compund-complex: Two main clauses and at least one subordinate clause Since there are no subordinate clauses in the sentence and only one main clause, it's a simple sentence. Hope that helped. [: Oh, and yes, there are other categories besides math. xD
