Hmm well we can set up a proportion \[\frac{ 8 }{ 1.5 } = \frac{ 12 }{ x }\] Cross multiply and solve for 'x'
I tried that and for some reason it didn't come out right..
So lets see.... 8 times x = 8x 12 times 1.5 = 18 so we have \[8x = 18\] Now we divide both sides by 8 to solve for 'x' and we get \[x = 2.25\]
