What is the difference between a neutralization reaction and a double–displacement reaction? Double displacement reactions are always redox reactions. Double displacement reactions always involve acids and bases. Neutralization reactions always produce water and a salt. (I think its this one?) Neutralization reactions are always combustion reactions.
