OpenStudy (anonymous):

The sum of three consecutive integers is 267. What is the largest integer?

hero (hero):

x + x + 1 + x + 2 = 267 3x + 3 = 267 3(x + 1) = 267 x + 1 = 267/3

hero (hero):

Keep solving

OpenStudy (anonymous):

\[\begin{align} n+(n+1)+(n+2)=267 & \Rightarrow 3n+3=267 \\ & \Rightarrow 3n = 264 \\ & \Rightarrow n=88 \end{align}\] But n is not the answer. It is only the smallest of the three numbers. I'm sure you can figure out the largest.\[\textrm{Check}~\href{ http://pastebin.com/feb19kWn }{\textrm{the answer}}~\textrm{when you think you've got it.}\]
