Give a real life example of an event with probability of 0, a probability of 1/2, and a probability of 1. (I just really want to see what answers you guys can come up with.)

You have a 0 percent chance of getting away with murder.

Because, you know, you will get caught eventually. If you live in America. I guess.

Probability 0: I'll flip this coin, and before it hits the ground, it'll collapse in on itself and open a wormhole to another dimension.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Although thats approximated. Quantum mechanically it could happen.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Probability 1: I'll flip this coin and it'll land on heads, tails, or neither.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Probability 1/2: I flip this coin and it'll land on heads.

Probability of 0 is interesting. Nothing is guaranteed to not happen. The quantum world is loopy like that. I think the closest you can get is that the probability is 0 that no object with mass can travel faster than the speed of light. time will only tell if that holds true, however.

I love all of you so much right now. Thank you for the laughs and the answers ♥
