OpenStudy (rsadhvika):

patience

OpenStudy (jdoe0001):

how would you solve say \(\cfrac{ x }{ 5 }= 4\) ?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

you can multiply 5 on both sides and that can simply the value of x/5 and it will give you x<whatever the number you will get

OpenStudy (anonymous):

you slightly confused me with your wording but okay

OpenStudy (anonymous):

um x/25 < 20? which makes no sense

OpenStudy (jdoe0001):

x/5 times 5 is x/25?

OpenStudy (jdoe0001):

I wonder what x/5 times 1/5 would be :/

OpenStudy (anonymous):

\[\frac{ x }{ 4 }<5\] \[\frac{ x }{4 }\times 4<5\times4,x <20\]

OpenStudy (anonymous):

im sorry but none of you are helping me.. ):

OpenStudy (goldphenoix):

reminder. The fraction (x/4) is a division. You want to do the reciprocal of division to cancel out 4. The reciprocal of division is multiplication. |dw:1373827235040:dw| Make sense?
