The midpoint of AB is (14, 26). One endpoint of AB is A(32, 40). What are the coordinates of B?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

A.B(–4, –12) B.B(0, 0) C.B(–4, 12) D.B(23, 33) CAN I PLEASE GET HELP?? I can draw out a graph.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

for the \(x\) value: from 32 to 14 is left 18 units go left another 18 units and you get to \)-4\)

OpenStudy (anonymous):

that is \(-4\)

OpenStudy (anonymous):

and 12 ! :D

OpenStudy (anonymous):

yeah

OpenStudy (anonymous):

you can also solve \(\frac{40+y}{2}=26\) if you want, you will still get \(12\)

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Thanks i did that and got the 26 part, but did not divide.
