@jim_thompson5910 another easy one i cant figure out?

jimthompson5910 (jim_thompson5910):

hints the side opposite the largest angle is the longest side the side opposite the smallest angle is the shortest side

OpenStudy (anonymous):

A? i think if not ill work it out again @jim_thompson5910

jimthompson5910 (jim_thompson5910):

are there any equal angles here?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

no :/ oops

jimthompson5910 (jim_thompson5910):

no equal angles ----> no equal sides

OpenStudy (anonymous):

C :)

jimthompson5910 (jim_thompson5910):

why C?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

i chose C because the angle B and angle C is smaller than angle A

jimthompson5910 (jim_thompson5910):

what is the angle opposite BC?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

oh my god :/

OpenStudy (anonymous):

60

jimthompson5910 (jim_thompson5910):

what is the angle opposite AC

OpenStudy (anonymous):

@jim_thompson5910 55

jimthompson5910 (jim_thompson5910):

so which segment is larger?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

AC

OpenStudy (anonymous):

@jim_thompson5910

jimthompson5910 (jim_thompson5910):

AC is opposite the smaller angle though

jimthompson5910 (jim_thompson5910):

do you see how I'm getting all this?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

most of it but some no, because 65 and 60 are larger so that why i said it was AC but apparently this all comes down to answer D?

jimthompson5910 (jim_thompson5910):

AC is opposite the smaller angle (compared to BC), so AC is shorter than BC see how that works?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

yes i see it now, its a bit confusing at first

jimthompson5910 (jim_thompson5910):

yeah it is, but glad it's a bit clearer
