Please help!!! Need to submit!!! "Create a circle graph that illustrates how much time you spend each day eating, sleeping, exercising, and doing other activities. Consider a day to be 24 hours. Post the percentages and arc lengths in terms of π for each sector of the circle you create, even if you are unable to post the actual circle graph."

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Here's my percentages: Sleep = 25% eating = 10% school = 15% excersize = 5% free time = 45% and I want to have a radius of 7.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

My teacher said we can choose whatever radius length we want, since it depends on how big the circle is.

OpenStudy (a_clan):

Divide 360 degrees according to your given percentages

OpenStudy (anonymous):

If you want to make the graph proportional, take .25, which is the percent for sleep, and multiply it by 360. That will give you your angle.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

So 90 is your angle for sleep.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

But i need the arc lengths, not the degree of the angles.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Wait, so for eating, would the angle be 36?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Yes!

OpenStudy (anonymous):

oh okay, I think I get it now. Thank you!!! I was messing up on converting the percents into angle measurements before I plugged them into the equation to find the length of an arc.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Allright, need anything else?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Just to double check, the school angle would be 54, the excersize angle would be 18, and the free time angle would be 162, correct?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Yep.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

So then use you protractor and then put then in the picture. DO you know how to turn the degrees in to the arc lengths?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Yeah, that part I'm good on, I was just stuck on the numbers to figure out the arc lengths. Thank you so much!

OpenStudy (anonymous):

No problem! Now I just need someone to respond to my question... :/

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Good luck! :)

OpenStudy (anonymous):

I read it, I'd help if I knew it.
