Can you help me with this sentence ? I am not sure of the answer and the sentence looks fine to me. If a car that appears to be old and worn shows a low milieage the odometer may have been set back. Which correction should be made to: 1. change appears to appear 2. change shows to showing 3. insert a comma after milage 4. remove the odometer 5. no correction is necessary

Because you're starting a new topic sort of. It's a proper place to pause.
Also, it's an "If" phrase. Whenever something starts with "if" you should watch out for a comma. Examples: IF I go to the store, I will get milk. IF you want more, you will have to get it yourself. IF you exercise, your muscles might be sore.
