For the data in the table does y vary directly with x? If it does write an equation for the direct variation

Can Anyone Please Help Me

Directrix (directrix):

It looks as if every time the x-value goes up by 8, the y-value goes up by 11 which would be direct variation.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Oh I see That Makes Sense Thank You

Directrix (directrix):

See if you can write the equation that fits the given points.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

So how would i write an equation for that

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Oh nvm

Directrix (directrix):

It would be something like y = something times x + something. I would try some numbers.

OpenStudy (e.mccormick):

Or you can use any two of the points to get the slope, then use point-slope formula.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Yeah Thanks :)

Have fun!
