If you assume your stop sign is a regular octagon the length of a side is 2x^2-10x
Thats the answer ..?
Id go with yes, if no other info was given but it really depends on the shape of the stop sign
Basically there are 8 sides and all 8 sides added together make up 16x^2-80x. So if you divide that into 8 parts, you'll have the length of only one side.
theres a picture of a stop sign with the problem and it has 8 sides

The Vienna Convention on Road Signs and Signals allows for two types of stop sign, as well as three acceptable variants, the B2a varient is the only one with sides per sey as all the others are circles, and it is a hexagon.
