Using complete sentences, explain how to find the zeros of the function f(x) = 2x^3 – 9x + 3.

OpenStudy (amistre64):

unless you know cardanos stuff .... start with guessing

OpenStudy (amistre64):

if you find 2 points that have opposite signs, you know there has to be a zero between them

OpenStudy (amistre64):

when x=0, y = 3 has to be a zero inbetween here when x=1, y=-4 has to be a zero inbetween here when x=2, y=1

OpenStudy (amistre64):

define the line between f(0) and f(1) and find its x intercept for a better guess

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Then I have 3 and -4. Do I just do the (x+3) and (x-4) thing then? @amistre64
