What is the slope of the line through (-2, 5) and (4, 9)? slope =2/3 slope =3/2 slope = 2

Is there a formula for slope that they give you?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

You can use y-y over x-x

OpenStudy (anonymous):

It would look like this: (9-5)/(4-(-2))

OpenStudy (anonymous):

\[(y^2-y^1)/(x^2-x^1)\]

careful @axelneel, the way you type it out makes it seem as if there are exponents. The 2 and 1 should be subscripts.

slope of any line,,,when two coordinates,,lying on the line are given,,,can be solved by dividing (difernce in y co-ordinate) and (|dw:1374134244016:dw|difference in x-co-ordinates)
