Select the graph of y = |x – 1| – 1

OpenStudy (anonymous):

A

OpenStudy (anonymous):

B

OpenStudy (anonymous):

C

OpenStudy (anonymous):

D

OpenStudy (anonymous):

in the equation you substitute x=o you get y=o then the point is(0,0) so on when you substitute x=1,2,3,4,-1,-2,-3 you get some points like(1,-1),(2,0),(3,1)(4,2)(-1,1),(-2,2),(-3,3) now you join this points you get the graph

OpenStudy (anonymous):

so when you draw the graph you get 'c' as answer

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Could you help me with another graphing problem almost like this?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

ya

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Thank you! (:

OpenStudy (anonymous):

A

OpenStudy (anonymous):

B

OpenStudy (anonymous):

C

OpenStudy (anonymous):

D

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Also after this I have one more and that is it.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

what is the question for this

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Oh sorry.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Select the graph of y = – |x + 3| + 2

OpenStudy (anonymous):

see you do it in the same way substitute x=0,1,2,3,-1,-2,-3 and you will get y values and the points if u have any doubts while solving ask me

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Um is it B??

OpenStudy (anonymous):

ya its 'b'

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Great thanks! (:

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Select the inequality of the graph shown below. A) y greater than or equal to – |x + 10| + 3 B) y greater than or equal to – |x – 10| + 3 C) y less than or equal to – |x – 10| + 3 D) y less than or equal to – |x + 10| + 3

OpenStudy (anonymous):

is the - is minus

OpenStudy (anonymous):

at the starting

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Yes.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

i think 'd' is the answer when you do the same procedure you get (0,-7),(1,-6)(2,-5)(-1,-6) so on when you join these you get the line which is in the graph now when y is less than we colour the region downwards so its the answer if the question is related to x is less than you get a question how to do see the - values of 'x-axis' are on the left side so when it is less than you shade the part on the left side so as this question did you understand

OpenStudy (anonymous):

do you have another question

OpenStudy (anonymous):

if you don't can i go
