my question reads: all of the following are ways to write 25 percent of N except : 0.25 N 25n/100 1/4 N 25 N im not looking for an answer just how to solve this type of problem

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Well the easiest way to understand 25 percent is 25/100. If you simplify that it is also 1/4. Does that help?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

my theory i say 0.25 N is incorrect

OpenStudy (anonymous):

it does thats kinda how i came up with my answer

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Well N is a whole, and if you have 0.25 of a whole how much is that?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

1/4

OpenStudy (anonymous):

And 1/4 is how much in terms of percentage?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

25 so its correct

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Well your questions asks for the WRONG WAY. All of them read the correct way except one.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

yeah ok il try to figure it out thank u

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Just think about it as "25/100" only one option is not "out of something"

OpenStudy (anonymous):

im going with either b or d am i correct

OpenStudy (anonymous):

I would suggest D :D

OpenStudy (anonymous):

how is 25 D different form 0.25 D

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Do you know how to change a decimal to a percent? or a fraction to a percent?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

N *

OpenStudy (anonymous):

gypsy, i do

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Well 0.25 is 25 percent because its 0.25/1 Whereas 25 is merely 25Ns

OpenStudy (anonymous):

If you are to look at 1 as 100 percent, then 0.25 would be 25 percent of 1. Does that make sense?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Convert each of the choices to a percent. One of them will equal way more than 25%.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

okay both of you make better sense now thank u

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Haha np.
