how is this a mononomial http://www.mathworksheets4kids.com/polynomials/type/1.pdf number 10? doesnt it have 2 terms?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

even though there are multiple variables, it can still be a monomial it's just 1 term

OpenStudy (anonymous):

it's the same situation as #7

OpenStudy (anonymous):

lol, my question is still unanswered. i know its a monomial. i was looking for an explamation

OpenStudy (anonymous):

"If several variables are considered, say, x, y, z, then each can be given an exponent, so that any mononomial is of the form "x^a*y^b*z^c" So because they are all multiplied, they in fact create one term, if they were added together then you would get more than one term, but because they are multiplied, it's one function. Does that make sense?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

yes, a helluva lot more than him telling me what i already knew

OpenStudy (anonymous):

thanks hun,see ya
