Please help: A polynomial with a degree higher than one (e.g. 2x^2+6x+9 = 0), is in standard form when the terms are arranged in order of higher to lower exponent and equated with you. For example, 3x^2y^2 + xy - 9 = 0 is in standard form because the whole polynomial is on one side with the 0 on the other side, and the terms are in decreasing order of exponents.
