ATTENTION EVERYONE!!! Guys pls don't post other subjects questions here. im saying this because this has been happening recently, mostly its chemistry & maths questions being posted here. This shouldn't be happening. This is "physics" section which means only physics q' r suppose to be posted here.!!!
Agree with you!
Yea, seriously everyone stop posting Chem and Math in the Physics section.... I need help with physics!!! haha
I won't do any reporting or anything, but this post is more irrelevant to physics than math and chemistry questions!! If you see a question where it doesn't belong, let them know. You can show them that it is in the Code of Conduct: Under "Don't spam! Common forms of spam include:" You'll find "•Posting a question that is off topic for a particular group (i.e. posting a physics question in the Mathematics group)." But first, make sure it is irrelevant. Sometimes chemistry is intertwined with physics (because physics is the science of everything, muhaha!). And math that doesn't immediately seem relevant to physics might be. Look for variables you're familiar with as a physicist, and then you can shed some physicsy light on the person's math problem. You can share what other mathematicians might not know.

I'm just saying this out of experience. My physics classes do spherical coordinates different than my math classes, and I could've applied that today if I remembered that sooner. (They switch the use of \(\theta\) and \(\phi\) variables.) And there were at least two other questions, I think I remember, that were mathy, but required attention to physics. And chemistry overlaps strongly with physics in the quantum mechanics area, with the structure and properties of atoms and their components. So my reaction is look twice, and let them know if you think it's in the wrong place. Or pass the question over if I don't know the answer. That's just one way to deal with it, and I bet everyone has different reactions that are still good. Don't get me wrong, it is an issue that people mispost, on purpose or accident. Mostly because they're hurting themselves if they get no help. Also, it sort of clutters the section with questions we might not know.
