same line

OpenStudy (anonymous):

???

OpenStudy (anonymous):

@mathstudent55 i need help

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Well correct me if I am wrong, but when dealing with systems of linear equations you are trying to find out where the two points intersect. With this particular example, it is impossible to do so because the points either lay on the same line or they lay on two parallel lines.

no its solving usiing elimination trying to find an answer for x and y

OpenStudy (anonymous):

mmm and in doing so you get zero.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

if so then its a no solution

OpenStudy (anonymous):

yeah, pretty much

OpenStudy (anonymous):

thanks

OpenStudy (anonymous):

i would not use the elimination technique anyway man. Use the substitution method. BTW x=7.75 and y=20

OpenStudy (anonymous):

try it out and check it for me

OpenStudy (anonymous):

sorry wasn't for your equation :P
