anyone know how please and thanks (picture)

OpenStudy (anonymous):

OpenStudy (anonymous):

to move it 6 units to the left, replace \(x\) by \(x+6\)

OpenStudy (anonymous):

top one is \(x+6-3=x+3\)

OpenStudy (anonymous):

second one is \(4(x+6)=4x+24\)

OpenStudy (anonymous):

alright now the only major problem i have is putting the answer in i got that same answers but not sure what goes in what place

OpenStudy (anonymous):

ok very first slot should be \(x+3\) and the slot immediately to its right should be \(x<-6\) although i guess you just put in \(-6\)

OpenStudy (anonymous):

then below that would be \(4x+24\) and to the right of that \(x>-6\)

OpenStudy (anonymous):

now the factor of 4 would that be (x+4)4?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

multiply by 4

OpenStudy (anonymous):

\(4x-12\) for the first one, \(16x\) for the second put 0 in both slots on the right

OpenStudy (anonymous):

wow! thanks babe!!

OpenStudy (anonymous):

satellite73 the 4x-12 and 16x were wrong! =(

OpenStudy (anonymous):

it says horizontal compression, which means the value before x should be smaller, so i think it's divide by 4, not multiply by 4

OpenStudy (anonymous):

(x-3)/4 and x

OpenStudy (anonymous):

im confused so the 4x-12 is (x-3)/4?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

yes, and the other instead of 16x it's just x

OpenStudy (anonymous):

4x/4 = x

OpenStudy (anonymous):

so how do i enter the first one if you dont mind telling me

OpenStudy (anonymous):

is (x-3)/4 not acceptable answer for h(x) first line? what about (x/4)-(3/4)

OpenStudy (anonymous):

that one didn't work!

OpenStudy (anonymous):

ok try (x/4)-3

OpenStudy (anonymous):

what about the bottom one? was x right?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

yeah!

OpenStudy (anonymous):

if x was right then the first one should be x/4-3

OpenStudy (anonymous):

just a matter of how you type it in, but the correct answer is (x/4)-3

OpenStudy (anonymous):

sorry hon good luck

OpenStudy (anonymous):

you were right thank you!!!!
