A double piece of DNA is determined to be 35% "A". What percent of "C" is in the same piece of DNA?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Okay, so A pairs with T and C pairs with C in a DNA molecule. This means that the percentage of A and T should be equal while the percentage of C and G should equal. So, if there is 35% A, there will be 35% T. This sums up to 70%. Subtracting this from 100 gives you 30%. Now C and G should have equal quantities. So dividing 30% by 2, you get 15%. C is 15%.
