how do i write a method that takes an integer and an integer array and returns a Boolean indicating whether the integer can be found in the array or not in java

OpenStudy (e.mccormick):

Look into Arrays.asList(...).contains(...) Also, for Java you might want to ask in the top level Computer Science, not the MIT 6.00 one... cause 6.00 uses Python. Hehe.

OpenStudy (e.mccormick):

@dumbsearch2 JAVA! question. He can give you a better answer than mine.

thanks

OpenStudy (e.mccormick):

np. I just looked up what searches an array in Java. Don't actually use it... hehe... so it is basically a book answer. But DS2 knows his Java very well. There are a few others here that code in Java. Any of them that see it should be able to help.

Oh, sorry, I'm back :)

OpenStudy (e.mccormick):

Yah... he was off when you posted.... probably doing something not as useful as answering Java questions. LOL

OpenStudy (dumbsearch2):

wut.

OpenStudy (dumbsearch2):

Oops... Emccormick is such a trickster... wow Java... Look, I only told you that I was great at JavaScript ahhha

OpenStudy (dumbsearch2):

They're so damn different!

OpenStudy (e.mccormick):

Hermph. You are probably better at Java than me since they are distant cousins. The closest I get to Java is C++!
