a spinner is divided into 10 equal sections numbered 1 through 10.if the arrow is spun twice, what is the probability the first number will be even and the second number will be odd?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Question for you to think about, is each spin independent of one another?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

answers are A. 0.4 B. 0.1 C. 0.25 D.0.5

OpenStudy (anonymous):

If you spin once, what's P ( first # = even)?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

ok thank u! i get to take a rest now

hey @kshorf this is a case of independent trials as the nth spin is not affected by (n-1)th spin.so the chance of getting even at 1st and odd on 2nd is calculated as 0.5*0.5 = 0.25 which is one of ur options.

thank u very much
