Can anybody please explain how to simplify this?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Best way is to group x's with x's, y with y and numbers with numbers

OpenStudy (anonymous):

If you multiply the fractions and cut off x and y, you will get the answer A.

@Alexis2332 I don't know how to start :( could you please help?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Walac is correct :)

OpenStudy (anonymous):

shortly when you see power outside of the parenthesis multiply it with the power of the num inside of the parenthesis and when same kind of numbers need to be multiply just add the power of the same kind when dividing same numbers just subtract their powers

OpenStudy (anonymous):

\[\left(\frac{4y^2}{x^4}\right)^3 = \frac{64y^6}{x^{12}}\] \[\frac{x^5}{y^4} \frac{64y^6}{x^{12}} = \frac{x^564y^6}{y^4x^{12}}\] Simplifying you get the correct answer...

@walac Is A the correct answer?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

@RH yes, it is.
