OpenStudy (anonymous):

Is metallic wire carrying current charged or electrically neutral? Justify.

OpenStudy (ybarrap):

By definition, current is the change in current divided by the change in time, so if there were no charge there would be no current. Therefore, the wire is "charged."

OpenStudy (theeric):

I have a contrary theory. The wire might still have the same number of protons as electrons, and thus be neutral.

OpenStudy (ybarrap):

I have to agree.

OpenStudy (theeric):

Alright! And I agree that there are charges.
