Add the polynomial (a^4b^2+3a^2b^4)+(6a^2b^4-a^4b^2)

OpenStudy (mathstudent55):

Since before each set of parentheses there is a positive sign (whether it is written or not), just drop all parentheses. Then combine like terms. Remember that like terms are terms that have exactly the same variables with the same exponents.

The expression can be rewritten as: \[a^4 b^2-a^4 b^2+3 a^2 b^4+6 a^2 b^4 \]The first two terms subtract out leaving:\[9 a^2 b^4 \]
