What's a hollow conductor? Does the net charge of the conductor equal to the charge residing in the inner surface plus the charge residing on the outer surface

OpenStudy (anonymous):

hollow , that has got nothing in it ... nd as far as i know all the charges reside on the outer surface and maintains the law of conservation of the charge

OpenStudy (sumi29):

A hollow conductor is the one which has no solid mass in its interior, and hence, following Gauss' Law, all charges reside on the outer surface.
