OpenStudy (superhelp101):

Which of these is most likely to happen to an atom when there are imbalances between its strong and weak nuclear forces? it will become stable it will absorb electrons it will undergo radioactive decay it will transform electrons into protons

OpenStudy (superhelp101):

@HaperFink22 do you know this?

OpenStudy (superhelp101):

@germanphysics

OpenStudy (superhelp101):

@Preetha

OpenStudy (superhelp101):

Do you think you get it?

OpenStudy (superhelp101):

You there?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

I'm not at 100%, but I would say it's C, because strong and weak forces keep the particles at their locations. So if there is an imbalance I would argue it undergoes radioactive decay. But pls correct me if I'm wrong all the others :)

OpenStudy (superhelp101):

Thank you for your response! Is it possible if you can help me with another?

OpenStudy (superhelp101):

Carbon-14 has a half-life of 5,730 years. After how many half-lives will 120 grams of Carbon-14 decay to 15 grams? 1 2 3 4

OpenStudy (superhelp101):

You think you can help?

OpenStudy (chmvijay):

will undergo radioactive decay

OpenStudy (superhelp101):

Thanks but how about this one: Carbon-14 has a half-life of 5,730 years. After how many half-lives will 120 grams of Carbon-14 decay to 15 grams? 1 2 3 4

OpenStudy (chmvijay):

120- 60 - first half cylve 60-30 - 2nd half cycle 30-15 - 3 rd half cyle g0t it

OpenStudy (superhelp101):

Thanks!! Your the best can you help on this one: Florida is in the Northern hemisphere. At what position of Earth will Florida experience the first day of spring? Position 1 Position 2 Position 3 Position 4

OpenStudy (superhelp101):

Do you get this?

OpenStudy (superhelp101):

?

OpenStudy (superhelp101):

Which of these statements is correct about P and S seismic waves? Both P and S waves travel along Earth's surface and their amplitude decreases with depth into Earth. Both P and S waves travel with the same speed through Earth and their amplitude increases with time. P waves are radiated along a single direction but S waves are radiated along all directions. P waves change the volume of the medium through which they travel but S waves do not change the volume of the medium. You get this then?? I am so confused

OpenStudy (superhelp101):

@chmvijay

OpenStudy (superhelp101):

@germanphysics

OpenStudy (anonymous):

No sry, but maybe google will help you with identifying P and S waves... if you know their behaviour, you know the answer :)

OpenStudy (superhelp101):

Thank you!
