question below

OpenStudy (anonymous):

find the inequality for the solution. \[\frac{ x }{ -5 } < 2\]

OpenStudy (anonymous):

tell me if you need the answer choices!

OpenStudy (anonymous):

You need to get x all by itself on one side of the equation. You can do this in one step by multiplying both sides by -5. Remember that when you divide or multiply both sides of an inequality by a negative value, you have to flip the sign.

@vinnv226 ok

OpenStudy (anonymous):

@vinnv226 hello?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Hi, what did you get when you multiplied both sides by -5?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

@vinnv226 x < -10 ?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Because you multiply both sides by a negative number you have to flip the sign: x>-10

OpenStudy (anonymous):

so its what you said.. ok ty so much!
