OpenStudy (watermelon14):

If the original mass of the radioactive material is 500 grams, what will be its mass after 6 billion years? 3.4 grams 7.8 grams 15.6 grams 31.2 grams

OpenStudy (watermelon14):

@thomaster

OpenStudy (shane_b):

Those are some pretty exact answers considering the graph is not very detailed. Is there more info?

OpenStudy (watermelon14):

no that is all the information. sorry. i don't get it either

OpenStudy (watermelon14):

@evilmath

OpenStudy (shane_b):

Then I can only venture an educated guess. Based on the fact the curve is somewhere around 3% at the 6 billion year mark. My guess would be 15.6 grams.

OpenStudy (shane_b):

If you think the curve looks like it's a little less than 3% then go with 7.8 grams :)

OpenStudy (watermelon14):

hmmm. I think it is 15.6 more but i am not sure. I will probably go with that. Thankss!!!!!!

OpenStudy (anonymous):

15.6 gram i would say

OpenStudy (watermelon14):

Thanks!:)

OpenStudy (anonymous):

all the others are too far from the graph's numbers it wouldn't make sense

OpenStudy (watermelon14):

Yep! :)
