What is the slope of a line with the points (-3.1, -1.9) and (-3.1,-8.6) ? Zero Positive Undefined Negative
\[slope = m = \frac{ y_1 - y_2 }{ x_1 - x_2 }\] Look familiar?
Yes.
Do you understand how to use it?
No.
I chose my answer as positive .-.
Okay, no problem. You were given two sets of points right? In general, lets refer to them like this.... \[(x_1, y_1), (x_2,y_2)\] Make sense?
If you don't understand why you choose your answer as positive, then whats the point of figuring it out? :D
Cause I don't have time... im only limited to do this stupid test .-. I can always get understanding later , I really need to get this finished and get a good grade so I can pass and go to my next grade...
But if you just get the correct answer now, but don't understand it.... Don't you think you'll eventually wind up in the same situation in your next grade? If so, wouldn't you agree that you'll then just be in a deeper hole that will be harder to get out of? If you tell yourself now that the understanding will come later, you'll continue to do that and one day it will come back to haunt you. I know you can figure this out! I've given you every bit of information to do it and all you need to do now is "plug and chug" some numbers. good luck on your test. it's not stupid and knowing that you're working on a test, this is probably considered cheating.
And its a PRACTICE test , just because I onl say test doesn't mean its a real test ...
