We have to use the correct form of "tener." "Tener" means "to have." Spanish-speaking people use "tener" to talk about how old someone is. But first, let me show you how to conjugate "tener." "Conjugate" means to change a verb into another form. ------------- Here are all the different forms of "tener": (Yo) TENGO (Tu) TIENES (El/Ella/Usted) TIENE (Nosotros) TENEMOS (Ellos/Ellas/Ustedes) TIENEN ------------- You see, "tener" has five different forms. (In Spain, there are six forms.) We have to choose the correct form to use. And the correct form all depends on the subject of the sentence. You see, every subject goes with a different form of "tener." Take a look at the list I just wrote down. You see those words in parentheses? (Yo) and (Tu) and (El). Do you know what all those words mean?
