...
want to isolate y
subtract 3x from both sides
3x+2y=10 -3x -3x --------- 2y=-3x+10 /2 /2 /2 ---------- y=-3/2x+5
right this is the process according to @Requiem
then divide everything by 2 to get y by itself
then u would figure out the y-intercept
the main goal is to get y by itself so you pretty much want to move everything to one side and then divide by the constant to get y by itself
Thank you guys sooooo much!!!<33333
just remember that to get slope intercept form for most cases, you want X on one side, and Y on the other....There are exceptions to this rule, but for now that should be fine :)
but you still need to find the y-intercept. WHat u have is only the slope
the y intercept is (0,5)
slope = (-3/2)
the slope is usually what is "attached" to the x
and the Y intercept is whats left over on the end
yes...to find y intercept you put 0 in for x which would just leave you with the 5...hence you plugged in 0 for x and you got 5 for y which = (0,5)
right nice explaining @Requiem
lol
your x intercept would be when you plug in 0 for y and then solve for x
so your x intercept would be (10/3), 0
Do you understand Pink?
