Part One 1<6x+7<25 then 1-7<6x<25-7 then -1

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Have you graphed the inequality? It will be easier to describe if you can see it.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

No I haven'. But i think it would be open circle on -1 and shading to the left. and then open circle on 3 and shading to the left as well.|dw:1375460580603:dw|

Close and you have described it well. Take a minute to read your inequality out loud and see if you can correct it.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

What are you upper and lower limits?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

What do you mean? and should it be -1 less than x but equal to less than 3?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

\[-1<x<3\] -1 is less than x and x is less than 3

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Or it can be read: x falls between -1 and 3, non-inclusive.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Okay thanks that sounds and looks better. but how would i graph it?
