State the y-intercept of the function (3x+1)/(2x)

hartnn (hartnn):

just plug in x=0 in the function to get y intercept

OpenStudy (anonymous):

I got 1/0 I got that much. But I don't understand what to do with it now. Is it 0?

hartnn (hartnn):

nopes, 1/0 = infinity so, y-intercept at infinity is equivalent to saying that there is NO y intercept! or the graph touches y axis at infinity (or does not touch at all!)

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Ohhhhhh

hartnn (hartnn):

yeahhhhhh
