OpenStudy (abb0t):

well, the first derivative of tangent is \(sec^2(x)\). Now taking the derivative of that, you use chain rule. You get 2sec(x)sec(x)tan(x) = 2sec^2(x)tan(x). now you do product rule along with chain rule. I will let you finish this on your own.
