Are you missing a number at the end?

OpenStudy (abb0t):

Anyways, you first pick a guess number, for instance, 0, 1, 2, 3, -1, -4, etc... if the number you pick equals ZERO, then you know that by the fundemtnal theorem of algebra, it is a multiple of the polynomial. Hence, you would use (x- n) where "n" is the number you picked. and do long division.
