OpenStudy (mathstudent55):

I assume this is a rectanglular filed. |dw:1375641012270:dw|

OpenStudy (mathstudent55):

Can you find the perimeter of the field?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

what are your answer choices

OpenStudy (anonymous):

@mathstudent55 1320 and @papsmurf there isnt any

OpenStudy (mathstudent55):

Great. To jog 1 mile, 5280 ft, how many times does he need to go around a 1320 ft circuit? 5280 ft/1320 ft = ?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

now divide 5280/1320=?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

4?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

yes

OpenStudy (mathstudent55):

correct Now let's check. If he goes once around he goes 1320 ft If he goes 4 times around the field, he goes 4 * 1320 ft = 5280 ft which is what the probelm is asking, so 4 times is correct.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

would that be 4 laps

OpenStudy (anonymous):

thankk you

OpenStudy (mathstudent55):

correct
