what is the coordinate in quadrant 1 for 3y^2-5x^2=7 and 3y^2-x^2=23

So do you want help or an answer?

help step by step

Ok so notice that both equations contain 3y^2 terms?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

yes

So that would make me thing to use elimination. That is where you multiply one equation by something to and add it to the other equation to cause one of the variable terms to disappear (or be eliminated). Since both equations have 3y^2. I would use this method. What would you have to add to 3y^2 to eliminate it?
