What is the image of point (-5, -7) for mapping (x, y) , (x - 4, y – 4). (-9, -11) (9, 11) (11, 9) (-11, -9)

Help ME!!

OpenStudy (theeric):

Hi! Is this like, you have the point \((-5,~-7)\) as \((x,~y)\) and you want to find the point \((x-4,~y-4)\)? It's like, every \((x,\ y)\) point you can think of has a corresponding \((x-4,\ y-4)\) point. You have \(5\) as \(x\) and \(7\) as \(y\) (because \((-5,\ -7)\) is \((x,\ y)\)). So, what would \(x-4\) be, and what would \(y-4\) be?

OpenStudy (theeric):

@edwinesparza ?

OpenStudy (theeric):

See, \(-5=x\), so \(x-4\) is really like \(-5-4\). You understand?

OpenStudy (theeric):

Do you know it?
