there's this definition for probability of an event \(A\): \(\frac{\text{number of situations making \(A\) true}}{\text{total number of situations}}\). How many situations are there for your event?
two
Think about it... If both dice show number 5 this means the sum of the two dice is 10 which is even (not odd) So there is no way the sum can be odd, whilst both dice have a number 5 ie. P=0 Does that make sense?
yes thank you @sarahusher
Or is this two separate events, and you want the probability of each event as opposed to both?
