= sinx?
OpenStudy (anonymous):
i guess thats what needs to be found.
OpenStudy (psymon):
Well, we can assume that there's an x you missed or that wasn't written in the question, lol.
OpenStudy (anonymous):
alright
OpenStudy (psymon):
So what is cos pi/2?

OpenStudy (psymon):
Alright. So when is sinx equal to 0?
OpenStudy (anonymous):
pi?
OpenStudy (psymon):
And 0.
OpenStudy (anonymous):
alright

Thats all there is to it, lol.
OpenStudy (anonymous):
so the answer is either pi or 0?
OpenStudy (psymon):
Well, its both.
OpenStudy (anonymous):
ohhh okay. so what if we had sin pi/2=cosx?
OpenStudy (anonymous):
when does cos=pi/2 right?

OpenStudy (psymon):
Well if it were the other way around, we would need to say that sin pi/2 = 1 and then find where cosx = 1
OpenStudy (anonymous):
okay so then what?
OpenStudy (psymon):
Well, where does cosx = 1. That would be all youd need to find
OpenStudy (anonymous):
2pi?
OpenStudy (anonymous):
i think the answer is sin(k*pi*x) where k is any integer including 0.

@Psymon so the answer is 2pi or what @Euler271 said?
OpenStudy (anonymous):
2pi=1 tho...
OpenStudy (psymon):
Well, cos x = 1 at 0
OpenStudy (anonymous):
answer is actually sin(k*pi) not sin(k*pi*x)
OpenStudy (anonymous):
well my answer choices are these
3pi/2
none of these
2pi
pi/2
pi

OpenStudy (psymon):
Oh, he's looking at the original question. Yeah, cos pi/2 = sinx means x = 0 + kpi
OpenStudy (psymon):
So answer is pi then for you, lol.
OpenStudy (anonymous):
for the second problem or the first one?
OpenStudy (psymon):
For the first.
OpenStudy (psymon):
He was looking at your original problem, I was just confirming what he said, lol.

okay so what about the second problem?
OpenStudy (psymon):
You were trying to find when cosx = 1, which is only at 0.
OpenStudy (anonymous):
so its pi for both?
OpenStudy (psymon):
No, its 0 for the 2nd one.
OpenStudy (anonymous):
it's sin(2pi) and sin(pi) in those options.
but the real answer is sin(kpi)

zero isnt a option so i put none of these?
OpenStudy (psymon):
Well, cosx = 1 only at 0. Technically, itd be 0 +2kpi. So if 2pi is an option then put that.
OpenStudy (anonymous):
2pi is a option @psymon but is that the right answer
