Polynomial is product of algebraic terms of form (x-y) where y is a root of the polynomial :)
hope you got the answer!
OpenStudy (anonymous):
I think I have the right answer but I'm not sure.
OpenStudy (anonymous):
(x-1)(x+2)(x-5)
OpenStudy (phi):
the roots means
x= 1, x= –2, and x= 5.
or
(x-1)=0
x+2= 0
x-5 = 0 (by solving each simple equation)
now multiply all three together
(x-1)(x+2)(x-5)=0

that's how I did it
OpenStudy (anonymous):
it just seems to simple... I couldn't tell if I skipped a difficult step
OpenStudy (phi):
they may want you to multiply it out so it is in standard form... which is a pain
OpenStudy (anonymous):
is it f(x)=x^3-4x^2-7x+10?
OpenStudy (phi):
yes,
