OpenStudy (imtiaz7):

Why it is not correct to say that potentieal difference is the work done in moving unit charge between the points concerned? @RANE

OpenStudy (rane):

what i dont get you imtiaz, say it again

OpenStudy (imtiaz7):

the q is that the pd is not a work done in moving unit charge but to force any body and it covers distance so it is work then why pd not done work

OpenStudy (imtiaz7):

@RANE the q is also uploaded to wikianswer i dont understand it properly

OpenStudy (rane):

oh i dont trust wikiasnwers

OpenStudy (kainui):

Seems right to me. It's the potential difference which has units of Joules per Charge (volts) and if it's saying how much a unit charge goes between the point, then if you multiply the voltage times a charge of 1 coulomb then you get the amount of energy, which is work done in moving a charge from point A to B.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

what you say is absolutely right ImtiazZ Pd.. is the measure of work done per charge in moving it from one point to another
