OpenStudy (theeric):

How can I go back to the default font after using \sf?

OpenStudy (e.mccormick):

On OS or in general?

OpenStudy (theeric):

Just on OS, thanks!

OpenStudy (theeric):

For some of the fonts, brackets don't contain only the select text you want to change. So I'd want to change back. But I couldn't find the default font, so I though I'd ask!

OpenStudy (e.mccormick):

Only what is in { } should be changed. Or if you mean for resizing, \(\Huge Huge\normalsize normalsize \) `\(\Huge Huge\normalsize normalsize \)`

OpenStudy (e.mccormick):

Hmm... brackets not containing it? Odd.

OpenStudy (e.mccormick):

Which fonts are you seeing that with?

OpenStudy (theeric):

`\it` is close, but not quite the same. Plus, \(normal[]\left[\right]\rightarrow\it it[]\left[\right]\)

OpenStudy (theeric):

thomasters tutorial mentioned the two fonts that did contain the text! I think \boldsymbol was one, and I forget the other.

OpenStudy (theeric):

In \(normal[]\left[\right]\rightarrow\it it[]\left[\right]\) The first pair of brackets for each is just typing, and the next are `\left[\right]`

OpenStudy (theeric):

\it seems to condense the letters some, but the letters look similar otherwise.

OpenStudy (e.mccormick):

\(\it Italic\) \(\rm Roman\) Hmmm.... I think it supposed to be \em or \sl but I do not see them as working.

OpenStudy (theeric):

Thanks for giving it a shot :)

OpenStudy (e.mccormick):

\(\it Italic \normalfont normalfont\) =(

OpenStudy (theeric):

Haha, I wish it was that easy, like \normalsize !

OpenStudy (e.mccormick):

It is supposed to be. http://en.wikibooks.org/wiki/LaTeX/Fonts

OpenStudy (theeric):

\(regular \\\Roman {regular}\)

OpenStudy (theeric):

Is that the normal font? I guess it looks the same!

OpenStudy (theeric):

\([]\sf[]\Roman []\)It does nothing, huh. I thought it had in the live reply for a moment..

OpenStudy (e.mccormick):

\(\tt asdf\) Hmm.. tt works. \(\it Italic~ \rm rm \leftarrow \) rm for roman.

OpenStudy (theeric):

Oh, thanks!

OpenStudy (e.mccormick):

bf bold face it italic rm roman tt teletype/texttype bb blackboard There are a couple others, I just remember all the 2 letter off hand.

OpenStudy (theeric):

\(regular\tt regular\) Haha, cool!

OpenStudy (e.mccormick):

\bf \(\bf asdfghjkl\) \em \(\em asdfghjkl\) \it \(\it asdfghjkl\) \rm \(\rm asdfghjkl\) \sc \(\sc asdfghjkl\) \sf \(\sf asdfghjkl\) Hmm... I though that was ss for SansSerif. \sl \(\sl asdfghjkl\) \tt \(\tt asdfghjkl~\)

OpenStudy (theeric):

This may remain a mystery for ages..

OpenStudy (e.mccormick):

Well, these are the old commands so I'm surprised MathJax even supported them.

OpenStudy (theeric):

I'm not up to date on all this stuff!

OpenStudy (theeric):

Thanks! Take care!

OpenStudy (e.mccormick):

This has more the new stuff int he editor. Easy place to prototype and copy over. It does support a few things that here does not, but a lot of it works fine. http://www.codecogs.com/eqneditor

OpenStudy (e.mccormick):

Have fun!

OpenStudy (theeric):

Alright, thanks! :)
